There were wildfires in Australia. There were 108 people died. There were 750 homes destroyed.

Albinism

I learned what albinism is. It is a disease. You get it when you don't have enough melanin. Melanin is skin pigment. Since you don't have enough melanin, it causes your skin to look white.

USA Swimming

Michael Phelps is suspended from competition for three months in USA swimming. I don't know why and when this happened.

Delays

Nasa delays discovery mission to space station. It has been delayed for one week until February 19.

bat killing

There is a bat killing syndrome. A mysterious and deadly disease was discovered two winters ago in a couple of New York caves. They have at least spread to 6 northeastern states. Scientists are rushing to find a way to stop it before it spreads across the country.

Telescope

There is going to be a telescope launch by NASA. IT is going to check if there are any Earth type planets that orbit different stars.

Super Bowl

During toward the end of the first half, James Harrison intercepted Kurt Warner's pass and made a 100 yard touchdown on the final play. This run was a record.
