NASA Delays
NASA delayed the planned launch of its new planet-hunting spacecraft. The delay is next week by one day. They need the extra time to check the extra rocket after the agency's last sattelite crash into ocean on Tuesday.

Mars Spacecraft
There is a spacecraft orbiting around Mars. NASA engineers are trying to find out why in went into safe mode this week. Engineers think it may have been hit by a cosmic ray. The cosmic ray caused it to mistakenly believe there was a power surge. The spacecraft is programmed to go into safe mode when it meets an unusual event. The engineers are trying to find out what actually happened.

NASA Launch
NASA plans to launch the space shuttle discovery at March 12. If it doesn't fly by March 13 and 14, it will have to wait until April because of a Russian Soyuz rocket. NASA kept postponing the launch because of hydrogen gas valves.

NASA send a satellite to track the culprit in global warming. The satellite crashed in an ocean near Antarctica after today's launch. This mission was worth $280 million dollars to answer questions about global warming.

Bomb
There was a homemade bomb in a Cairo bazaaar. Cairo is in Egypt. It killed one person and injured 21. Police found another bomb and detonated it safely. Nobody know who did it. It could have been more than one person.

Backwards green comet makes a one time visit. The comet is called Lulin. You could possibly see it with your eyes but recommended to use binoculars or a telescope. The best oppurtunity is before dawn. It will be 38 million miles away from the Earth. Lulin was discovered by a Chinese teenager two years ago.

Mummies
Mummies were found in Cairo. Cairo is a storeroom housing about two dozen ancient Egyptian mummies inside a 2,600 year old tomb. The tomb was found at the bottom of a 36 feet deep shaft.

There is a bat killing syndrome. A mysterious and deadly disease was discovered two winters ago in a couple of New York caves. They have at least spread to 6 northeastern states. Scientists are rushing to find a way to stop it before it spreads across the country.
